Our Signature four-session program for assisted living residents in senior centers:
Session 1: The Soundtrack of Our Lives. Residents listen to songs and tell personal stories about where their memories take them.
Session 2: Around Our Family Table. The people, traditions, foods, and little rituals that made our house feel like a home, told firsthand with fondness.
Session 3: Back When We Were Growin Up. The adventures, firsts, fashions, friends, and everyday experiences that shaped our lives.
Session 4: Things Life Has Taught Me. Sharing stories about influential people, stories of pride, lessons learned, and values that have stayed with us.
Transitional Coaching - a Curious Companions™ Welcome Home Experience:
Moving into an assisted living community or a family member's home is one of life’s most significant transitions. Leaving behind a beloved home, familiar routines, and personal independence can stir feelings of sadness, uncertainty, and loss. This four-week transition coaching experience is effectively designed to help older adults navigate this life change with greater comfort, confidence, and hope for the future. Drawing on my 25 years of coaching experience, I provide a safe, compassionate space where individuals feel heard, their emotions are honored, their life experiences are valued, as we explore the possibilities ahead.
Curious Companions™ Comfort Calls - Imagine an older adult in assisted living or an older adult living alone who receives a scheduled call every Tuesday afternoon from a Curious Companions™ Guide who is genuinely interested in their stories, opinions, memories, and what’s happening in their world today - a joyful conversation.
